She has served as a legal adviser to the Bureau of Special Investigation of Union of Myanmar (BSI) for 19 years. Since 2010 she has served as a freelance Attorney for Civil Suits, Criminal Cases, Civil Appeals and Criminal Appeals. In 2020, Daw May Kyi Khaing Joined Aung Shin Thant as a Senior Associate Lawyer.

She is working the the field of Labor Law, Commercial Law and Banking Law.
